Carved Cigar Store Native American Indian, Shop Trade Sign
Carved Cigar Store Native American Indian, Shop Trade Sign

This is a very rare find, he is an almost full size American Indian Chief, he is carved from one piece of wood ( a tree trunk, possibly pine ) Our Indian Chief stands on a small plinth he has a full headdress and the carved detail on his clothing is clear
The statue would have stood outside a cigar store, he is well weathered, the paint seems to be original but worn, the statue is in generally good condition very little splitting in the wood but he has taken a knock on his nose and there is a small piece missing (this could be a battle scar)

The Statue is 64” tall, and about 14” in diameter at the floor

An Outstanding, Large Cast Original Victorian Garden Iron Urn
An Outstanding, Large Cast Original Victorian Garden Iron Urn

This Large and imposing Cast Iron Urn probably came from a Victorian Cemetery, it has been cherished in a London Garden for over 70 years, no wonder when you can see the superb patina of the piece
The urn has survived with its pineapple topped lid, it has huge Rams Horn handles on either side while the front and back have death scenes, with Putti and a falling soul
The original finish of the urn is not obvious, I can see some red substance next to the iron ( red oxide perhaps) and the general overall colour is very ages and weatherworn green which changes in colour when it is wet

This is a very heavy piece it is not easy to move and may require some strong help or lifting equipment to place it in your garden

A very large antique brass astronomical telescope by William Harris & Co 50 Holborn London.

19th Century Blue Glass Tram Window Advertisement
19th Century Blue Glass Tram Window Advertisement

A rare find, these advertisements were once so common in the tram windows and tram shelters but few have survived probably because they were glass rather than the usual card and enamel advertisements we still see
The Original Tramways were horse powered and later were electrified

This advertisement we have here is advertising Queens College, a secretarial college in the Southampton area, on the left we have the address and on the right the details of the sources on offer

Exceptionally rare in fair condition, the advertisement is still in its original frame, the glass is in 2 pieces and there is a little chipping at the join and there is a diagonal crack on the left half, otherwise no issues

The sign is 48” long and 9” high

Acrylic on Canvas “A Street in Clitheroe” by John Anderson after L.S.Lowry
Acrylic on Canvas “A Street in Clitheroe” by John Anderson after L.S.Lowry

This is a very good large acrylic on canvas after L.S.Lowry of matchstick men and a well known street scene with the Church and smoking chimneys in the background

This is a very good example in the style of the famous artist, as a copy there has to be a slight but noticeable difference in the picture, here it is the character in the bottom right hand corner, and the artist has signed the canvas on the back of the painting to avoid any chance of deception
The painting is in excellent condition and comes in its original linen mounted slightly decorative frame
The canvas is 30”x24” and in its frame 35”x29”
