19th Century Country Oak Club Fender, Inglenook Fireside Seat
This is a very chunky piece, it was made in the Arts and Crafts style
from reclaimed Oak in the late 19th century
The wood used here is very old probably from an old ship as was often the way, you can see one patch where a piece of wood has been let in to fill an old construction hole
The fender has a deep base and chunky columns supporting deeply upholstered dark red leather and studded seats
The fender is in good sturdy and very attractive condition,
The fender is 19” high, it is 63.5” long an 20” deep,
