17th Century Carved Oak Sword Chest on Stand
This is a rare and wonderful old piece, the chest is carved on the top sides and front
The quality of the Carving is very fine, it is deep and crisp and in very good condition, the turned leg stand has a carved border which fits neatly around the chest
The candle box is missing from the interior of the box and the brass escutcheon is a later addition
A good Gothic piece with a wonderful aged patina, the Chest is 32.5” high, 51” wide and 16” deep
