French Trumeau Style Console Mirror
This tall Mirror it is an elegant piece, it has a silver and gilt plaque at the top with dancing cherubs surrounded with a wreath of flowers, leaves and ribbons. The wide moulded frame is reeded with a rope edging and painted in very dark green (almost black) and gold
The mirror dates from the mid 19th century, the mercury glass is original and has a quite a bit of foxing, not perhaps one for the faint hearted but an interesting and attractive piece in its own right.
The mirror 49” high and it is 27” wide
