Large Ancient Primitive Tribal Polynesian Fertility CarvingThis wonderful Carving, it is flat on the back and has several characters one above the other (4 Faces in all) and a large Vase
The wood is very hard and it has a lot of open grain, it shows no signs of rot or flaking and is very sound
There are deep ancient shrinkage cracks but it is all very sound
The Statue dates from the 18th Century or earlier, it is 3” thick, 48” tall and
It is 56” Tall and 11” wide
