A Rare 19th Century French Brass Swinging, Rocking Crib
A Charming piece, dating from the mid 19th Century, this beautiful crib is in very good condition
The frame has elaborated curled brass feet and a shepherd’s crook canopy hanger at one end, the crib bottom is in wire mesh and the sides are in soft cotton
The Crib swings gently suspended in it’s pretty Brass frame, there is a swing stop for when the rocking is not required, this is a superb quality piece and so beautiful
A very rare and beautiful piece, the actual bed is an egg shape, it is 38” long 21” at the widest and 17” deep, so a growing baby will not fit into it for many months but a superb family heir loom of perhaps one for the serious doll collector
The stand is 69” to the top, 45” long and 21” wide
