17th Carved Oak Bible Box, Chest on Stand
This is a good old piece, the box has a little decorative Carving to the front with a good old iron Escutcheon, the lid of the box has a Notch carved border and iron strap hinges
The chest sits in an oak stand with turned legs, this is a later piece probably made for it in the 19th Century
A good Gothic piece with a good patina, old repairs but very sound and usable, the Chest is 37” high, 37” wide and 15” deep
