Magnificent Edwardian Silver and Risqué Nude Enamel Cigarette or Card Case by Joseph Gloster Ltd
This is an exceptional antique Edwardian sterling silver cigarette case has a plain rectangular shape with rounded corners.
The Charming young lady illustrated in enamel has violet blue eyes and locks of ginger hair tied back, she is reclining in front of a window with sea in the background “perhaps she is on board a luxury liner”.
This is a stunning piece of Edwardian workmanship, fully hallmarked with silver gilt interior and curved back, made by 'Joseph Gloster Ltd', it is in superb condition for a piece of this age
There is an inscription on the interior of the case , this could be polished out but it seems a shame to blot out its history, a magnificent piece to draw out from your pocket, and if you are not a smoker it makes a wonderful card case
The cigarette case is in good used condition, it opens and closes tightly. The Sterling Silver Hall marks are very clear
