Very Large French Arts and Crafts Book Rest, Ecclesiastical Reading Stand, Lutrin
This is a charming piece, known in France as a Lutrin, it came from a presbytery, this one has a lot of carved and pierced decoration
The stand has been superbly and brilliantly crafted, and is made from fruit wood
A charming piece and quite the cleverest design I have ever seen and in excellent used condition,
The stand is 28” high and 13” wide
