This is a Substantial French Empire Brass, Mahogany and Ormolu Bed, the bed is a 5ft double, a rare thing in a French antique bed
The Bed ends have a chunky brass tubular frame surrounding a mahogany panel which is decorated with an ormolu ribbon and leaf decoration
The head of the bed is tall and curved and very heavy, the bed is in very good sturdy used condition and comes with a new pine slatted base
The bed head is 58� high and 63� wide, the bed takes a 5ft double bed mattress
