Exceptional Quality Colonial Style Carved Mahogany 4 Poster Double BedThis is a very superior quality piece, the bed originates from India often know as a Raj bed, the bed is hand carved and has an oval mirror set in the profusely carved Bed Head.
The legs and spindles of the bed are very crisply turned and the corner posts have a tall barley twist column supporting the canopy.
The Raj bed is specially made so that it can be easily dismantled so this one will have ease of access to most awkward to get to locations, the bed has its own base and needs only a mattress to complete it
The bed is in very good condition, the mirror is a little foxed but otherwise it is a stunning piece
The Bed is 81” tall, 61” wide, it will take a 5ft mattress
