Description
This Victorian Carved Oak Game and Trophy Cupboard would make a superb glazed bookcaseThe upper section of the Cupboard or Trophy Cupboard has two arched glazed doors enclosing the shelves; these are carved with animal masks and the fruits of the forest. At the Top of the piece there is a deep elegant cornice with a shield carving in the centre.
The carvings on the lower section of the bookcase are more detailed representations of the hunting theme with fish on the one side and game birds on the other panel with similar side carvings to those on the upper section it has two drawers and the interior of the cupboard is shelved
The Bookcase has a solid back; it is in sound condition apart from age related wear
The Cupboard is 92” high, 53” wide and 21” deep
Fortunately it divides into 2 for transportation
